คณะผู้วิจัยมีความประสงค์ในการสร้างแอพพลิเคชันแอนดรอยด์สำหรับการช่วยคำนวณแบบตัดชิ้นส่วนเสื้อผ้าได้อย่างรวดเร็ว เพื่อแก้ปัญหาให้กับนักศึกษาและเพื่อให้ผู้สอนสามารถตรวจสอบข้อมูลการคำนวณของนักศึกษาได้ โดยทำการป้อนค่าสัดส่วนต่างๆ เช่น รอบคอ, รอบอก, ความยาวเสื้อ ฯลฯ แล้วแสดงภาพแบบตัดขึ้นมาบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ เพื่อช่วยลดเวลาและข้อผิดพลาดในการคำนวณนั้น ทีมวิจัยได้ใช้แบบตัดเสื้อสตรีเบื้องต้น มาเป็นโจทย์ในการทดสอบ โดยทดสอบเบื้องต้นกับนักศึกษาด้วยวิธีการคำนวณด้วยมือพบว่า ความเร็วในการคำนวณและการร่างแบบตัดเสื้อสตรีเบื้องต้นเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 73.54 นาที ซึ่งทำเร็วที่สุดอยู่ที่ 57 นาที และช้าสุดอยู่ที่ 94 นาที ทีมวิจัยจึงได้ออกแบบแอพพลิเคชันที่ช่วยคำนวณและปรับปรุงวิธีการนำเสนอการร่างแบบตัดเสื้อสตรีเบื้องต้นใหม่ แสดงผลผ่านแอพพลิเคชันแอนดรอยด์ โดยทดสอบกับกลุ่มนักศึกษา 30 ราย พบว่านักศึกษาสามารถร่างแบบตัดเสื้อสตรีเบื้องต้น ใช้เวลาเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 26.33 นาที ทั้งนี้เมื่อเทียบกับการทดสอบที่คำนวณด้วยมือพบว่าสามารถลดเวลาในการร่างแบบตัดเฉลี่ยได้ประมาณ 47.21 นาที จากนั้นผู้วิจัยได้เก็บข้อมูลความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่เรียนการตัดเย็บและการออกแบบ แพทเทิร์น ในการใช้แอพพลิเคชันแอนดรอยด์สำหรับการช่วยคำนวณแบบตัดเย็บเสื้อผ้าสตรีเบื้องต้น พบว่า มีค่าความพึงพอใจเฉลี่ยรวม 4.06 คะแนน โดยรูปแบบที่เรียบง่ายชัดเจนไม่ซับซ้อนมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดอยู่ที่ 4.29 คะแนน

Researchers aimed to create an android application for helping to calculate the pattern of cutting clothing parts quickly. This application used to solve problems for students and to enable teachers to check the calculation data of students by entering various parameters such as size of neck round and bust, length of shirt, etc., and then show the cutting pattern on the mobile phone to help reduce time and error in calculation. Researchers used basic bodice pattern as a test problem. The preliminary testing was conducted on students by means of manual calculation, which found that the average of calculation speed and drafting of basic bodice pattern is 73.54 minutes while the fastest is 57 minutes and the slowest is 94 minutes. Researchers therefore designed an application that helps calculate and improve the drafting of basic bodice pattern by showing results through android application. By testing with 30 students, it was found that students were able to draft a basic bodice pattern via android application by using an average time of 26.33 minutes. When compared to the manual calculation, it can be said that the average time reduced by 47.21 minutes. Researchers then brought this application to the real users to test it by collecting data from students studying sewing and pattern design. It was found that the average value of satisfaction after using the Android application for calculating the basic bodice pattern was 4.06 points, with the highest average value of 4.29 points on a simple, clear, uncomplicated pattern.
