งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเทคโนโลยีกระบวนการเคลือบผิวผ้าไหมย้อมสีธรรมชาติโดยใช้สารเคลือบผิวหรือวัสดุที่เคลือบผิวผ้าเพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้น้ำซึมผ่าน จากนั้นออกแบบและพัฒนาเครื่องประดับจากวัสดุผ้าย้อมสีธรรมชาติที่ผ่านการเคลือบผิวให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของตลาดจากความคิดที่เกิดจากจินตนาการของผู้ประกอบการประกอบกับทิศทางแฟชั่นจนเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ผลิตต้นแบบเครื่องประดับจากผ้าไหมย้อมสีธรรมชาติจากใบขลู่ที่มีสมบัติป้องกันน้ำซึมผ่าน จากการทดลองสารเคลือบผิวผ้าทั้งหมด 3 ประเภท คือ แผ่นไวนิล แว็กซ์ และสเปรย์ โดยทำการสุ่มเลือกสารที่ใช้เคลือบที่มีขายในท้องตลาดทั้งหมด 9 ชนิด ได้แก่ แผ่นไวนิลเคลือบผ้า, แว็กซ์เคลือบผ้า และสเปรย์เคลือบผ้ากันน้ำ 7 ยี่ห้อ ได้แก่ Always Dry, BAZOOKA, 3M Scotchgard, 3M Waterproof Scotchgard Durable Water Repellent, CRC MaryKate Fabric Waterproofer, Revivex Instant Water Repellent และStar brite Waterproof With PTEF สูตรเทฟลอน โดยใช้เกณฑ์การวิเคราะห์คุณภาพ คือ การเปรียบเทียบน้ำหนักก่อนและหลังเคลือบผ้า น้ำหนักเบาที่สุด คือ สเปรย์เคลือบผ้ากันน้ำยี่ห้อ Always Dry ผลต่างมีค่าเฉลี่ย 0.008 กรัม, การเปรียบเทียบสีก่อนและหลังเคลือบสีผ้าเข้มขึ้นทุกชนิด การเปรียบเทียบกลิ่นที่ใช้เคลือบขณะเคลือบทุกชนิดมีกลิ่นฉุน ยกเว้นสเปรย์เคลือบผ้ากันน้ำยี่ห้อ Always Dry และการทดสอบประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันการเปียกนํ้าของพื้นผ้า โดยวัดค่ามุมสัมผัสของหยดนํ้า ด้วยเครื่องวัดค่ามุมสัมผัส พบว่าสารเคลือบสเปรย์เคลือบผ้ากันน้ำยี่ห้อ Always Dry ให้ค่ามุมสัมผัสสูงที่สุด คือ 147.073 องศา แสดงว่ามีประสิทธิภาพในการlสะท้อนน้ำมากที่สุด จึงใช้สเปรย์เคลือบผ้ากันน้ำยี่ห้อ Always Dry ในการทำเครื่องประดับ จากการศึกษาทิศทางเครื่องประดับปีพ.ศ. 2563 และผลสำรวจความต้องการของผู้บริโภค เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการออกแบบและผลิตเป็นต้นแบบเครื่องประดับ แบบร่างที่มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงสุด ชื่อLantern of soul แนวคิด Asian Affairs ประเภทต่างหู มีแนวคิดในการออกแบบต่างหูเป็นลักษณะคล้ายโคมจีนหรือเต็งลั้ง เพราะคนจีนเชื่อว่าโคมไฟเป็นวัฒนธรรมมงคลที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเสริมความสิริมงคลเพราะเป็นวัตถุให้แสงสว่างแก่มนุษย์ ประกอบด้วยอักษรมงคลของจีน 3 ตัว ที่มีความหมายว่า ความเจริญ มีความสุข และโชคลาภ

This study aimed to study a fabric natural dye coating by using a substance waterproof coating. The fabric natural dyeing jewelries were designed and developed from the operator’s idea which matched customer’s demand and jewelry trend. After this process, the prototypes of fabric natural dyeing jewelry from Pluchea Indica’s leaves were produced. The Pluchea Indica’s leaf was selected because of its special quality (waterproof). The researchers used three kinds of fabric coating e.g. vinyl, wax and spray. In addition, the researchers chose seven brands of spray coating from a market: Always Dry, BAZOOKA, 3M Scotchgard, 3M Waterproof Scotchgard Durable Water Repellent, CRC MaryKate, Fabric Waterproofer, Revivex Instant Water Repellent, and Star brite Waterproof with PTEF (Teflon). The criterion used in quality analysis was weight comparison (comparing a fabric weight before and after coating). The lightest weight was the Always Dry spray coating, and the average difference was 0.008 grams. The comparison of fabric color before and after coating, the result showed that the color was darker after coating. In the smelling comparison, the result showed that every fabric coating brands were pungent except the Always Dry brand. For the waterproof efficiency analysis, the water contact angle was used by using a contact angle mater. The result exposed that the waterproof fabric spray from Always Dry was 147.073 degrees, and this meant the Always Dry spray was the most efficient in waterproofing. Thus, the researchers chose the Always Dry spray coating for making jewelry. In design process, a draft of earrings prototype which had highest average score was Lantern of soul in a concept of Asian Affairs. This concept was similar to a Chinese lantern or Teng-Lang, because Chinese people believed the lantern was auspicious, and the word lantern in Chinese consisted of three auspicious Chinese letters; prosperous, happiness and fortune.
