การศึกษาวิจัยพืชน้ำในประเทศไทยสกุลพรมมิ (Bacopa monnieri) เพื่อใช้ในการเพิ่มภูมิต้านทานให้กับปลาหางนกยูง ซึ่งเป็นปลาประเภทสวยงาม ด้วยการสกัดพรมมิอบแห้งโดยใช้เอทานอล นำสารที่ได้มาเคลือบอาหารเม็ดที่ความเข้มข้น 0, 250, 500, 750 และ 1,000 มิลลิกรัมต่อกิโลกรัมอาหาร เปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มควบคุมที่ไม่ได้ใช้พรมมิ ให้ปลากินอาหารเป็นเวลา 4 สัปดาห์ แล้วนำมาทดสอบทำให้ติดเชื้อกับแบคทีเรียแกรมลบ Aeromonas sp. กับแบคทีเรียแกรมบวก Streptococcus sp. ดูอัตราการตาย พบว่าปลาหางนกยูงที่ได้รับอาหารผสมสารสกัดจากพรมมิสามารถต้านทานเชื้อแบคทีเรียทั้งสองกลุ่มได้ดีกว่าชุดการทดลองควบคุม โดยชุดการทดลองที่ให้ผลดีที่สุด คือ ชุดการทดลองที่ผสมสารสกัดพรมมิ 1,000 มิลลิกรัมต่อกิโลกรัมอาหาร ซึ่งจะเป็นแนวทางในการนำไปใช้เพื่อการเสริมภูมิต้านทานให้แก่สัตว์น้ำได้

A research focused on aquatic plants in Thailand called Bacopa monnieri to increase immunity to guppy fish. which is a beautiful fish by extracting dried sprouts using ethanol The resulting substance was coated with food tablets at concentrations of 0, 250, 500, 750 and 1,000 mg/kg of feed comparรืเ with the control group that did not use the carpet The fish were fed for 4 weeks and then tested for infection with Gram-negative bacteria Aeromonas sp. and Gram-positive bacteria. Streptococcus sp., to check fish mortality. It was found that guppy fish fed with Bacomin extract were more resistant to both groups of bacteria than the control experiment. The experimental set that yielded the best results was the experimental set containing 1,000 mg of Bacopa extract per kilogram of feeding. This will be a guideline to be used to enhance the immunity of aquatic animals.
