งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความชื้นในวัสดุปลูกที่มีผลต่อการเจริญเติบโตและผลผลิตของกระวานที่ปลูกในระบบไม่ใช้ดิน โดยทำการปลูกกระวานภายในโรงเรือนตาข่ายหลังคาพลาสติกใช้วัสดุปลูก คือ ขุยมะพร้าว กาบมะพร้าวสับ (1:1 โดยปริมาตร) วางแผนการทดลองแบบ Completely Randomized Design (CRD) แบ่งเป็น 3 วิธีการทดลอง จำนวน 5 ซ้ำ ซ้ำละ 2 ต้น คือ ระดับความชื้น 70% v/v, ระดับความชื้น 60% v/v และระดับความชื้น 50% v/v จากการทดลองพบว่า ระดับความชื้นในวัสดุปลูกต่อการเจริญเติบโตและผลผลิตสูงที่สุด คือกระวานที่ปลูกโดยใช้ระดับความชื้น 60% ส่งผลให้ความสูงต้น (77.59 เซนติเมตร) ขนาดลำต้น (8.27 มิลลิเมตร) จำนวนต้น (13.80 ต้น/กระถาง) และน้ำหนักต้น (3.56 กิโลกรัม/กระถาง) มีค่าสูงที่สุด เมื่อเปรียบเทียบทางสถิติ พบว่า มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P<0.05) ดังนั้นระดับความชื้นของวัสดุปลูกที่เหมาะสมในการปลูกกระวานคือ ระดับความชื้น 60% v/v ซึ่งมี การเจริญเติบโตและผลผลิตของกระวานดีที่สุด

This research aimed to investigate the effects of the substrate moisture content on the growth and yield of cardamom in soilless culture. The cardamom were grown in a net house in a mixture of coir dust : coconut husk chips (1:1 v/v). The experimental design was Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments, 5 replications, two plants per replication as follows : three soil moisture levels contained of 70%, 60% and 50% v/v. The results showed the substrate moisture content that best growth and yield of cardamom grown using soil moisture of 60% v/v yielded the plant height (77.59 cm), plant diameter (8.27 mm), highest number of plants (13.80 plants/pot) and highest plant weight (3.56 kg/pot) which had significantly difference (p<0.05). Therefore, the substrate moisture content level of planting for growing cardamom is soil moisture of 60% v/v is the best growth and yield of cardamom.
