งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาวิจัยในความเสี่ยงด้านสภาพคล่องทางการเงิน 2) เพื่อศึกษาวิจัยความเสี่ยงด้านการลงทุน 3) เพื่อศึกษาวิจัยการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ SMEs 4) เพื่อทราบถึงปัจจัยสาคัญในการพัฒนาศักยภาพธุรกิจ SMEs ในเขตเศรษฐกิจการค้าชายแดน ภาคตะวันออกเพื่อการแก้ไขปัญหาความเสี่ยงทางด้านเศรษฐกิจจังหวัดสระแก้วและจันทบุรี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นผู้ประกอบการในเขตการค้าชายแดนจังหวัดสระแก้วและจังหวัดจันทบุรี โดยวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์ผลการวิจัยจากข้อมูลโครงการวิจัยย่อย 3 โครงการผลการวิจัยพบว่า การพัฒนาศักยภาพธุรกิจ SMEs ในเขตเศรษฐกิจการค้าชายแดนภาคตะวันออก เพื่อการแก้ไขปัญหาความเสี่ยงทางด้านเศรษฐกิจ(จังหวัดสระแก้วและจันทบุรี) มีปัจจัยสาคัญ3 องค์ประกอบ คือ 1) ความเสี่ยงด้านสภาพคล่อง 2) ความเสี่ยงด้านเงินทุนและ 3) ศักยภาพของผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ SMEs ที่มีอิทธิพลต่อความสามารถในการแข่งขัน สามองค์ประกอบหลักดังกล่าวมีผลกระทบต่อผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจ SMEs ในการลงทุนเพื่อ การดาเนินงานและการขยายกิจการในพื้นที่สถานประกอบการ การขยายตลาด ภาระต้นทุนเงินทุนที่สูงจากหนี้นอกระบบ การขาดแคลนแหล่งเงินทุนต้นทุนต่า การจ้างแรงงาน และรวมถึงการสร้างความได้เปรียบ ด้านการแข่งขันทางการค้าในเขตชายแดนไทยกัมพูชาของธุรกิจ SMEs นอกเหนือจากนั้นยังมีผลกระทบต่อปัญหาเชิงเศรษฐกิจการค้าชายแดนภาคตะวันออก (จังหวัดสระแก้วและจันทบุรี) ในการขยายการลงทุน ทางธุรกิจ การจ้างงาน ต้นทุนเงินทุนหรือดอกเบี้ยของเงินกู้นอกระบบ กระจายรายได้สู่ชุมชนเขตการค้าชายแดนไทยกัมพูชาและความได้เปรียบการแข่งขันการค้าชายแดนไทยกัมพูชา

The purposes of this research were; 1) to study the financial liquidity risk 2) to study the Investment risk 3) to study the development of competitiveness of SMEs and 4) to study the key factors in developing of the SMEs business potential in the Eastern Economic Border Trading Zone of Srakaew and Chanthaburi Provincesfor solving the economic risk problem. The study samplings consisted of entrepreneurs in both provinces. The instrument was a questionnaire.This research compiles from the analysis and synthesis of the research results from 3 sub-research projects. Results from this research revealed that the development of the SMEs business potential in the Eastern Economic Border Trading Zone of Srakaew and Chanthaburi Provinces for solving the economic risk problem, consists of 3 key factors; 1) financial liquidity risk 2) capital risk and 3) potential of SMEs entrepreneurs which affected in competitiveness. These 3 key factors affected the SMEs entrepreneurs in investment and expansion in operation assets, expansion of marketing, high cost of debt from the informal loan sector, shortage of low capital loan and employment, as well as the competitive advantage of SMEs in the Eastern Economic Border Trading Zone. Furthermore, these key factors affected the economic problemsin developing SMEs business potential in the Eastern Economic Border Trading Zone in business investment expansion and employment, cost of capital or interest of informal loans, income distribution of the community along the Thai-Cambodia border trade area and the competitive advantage of SMEs entrepreneurs in the Eastern Economic of Thai-Cambodia Border Trading Zone.
