ในการวิจัยเรื่องความร่วมมือทางการค้า ไทย-กัมพูชา กรณีศึกษา ตราด-เกาะกง มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ ศึกษาผลกระทบจากความร่วมมือทางการค้า และเสนอแนะแนวทางในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางการค้า ไทย-กัมพูชา โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความ ร่วมมือทางการค้าที่ได้รับการส่งเสริมภายใต้กรอบความร่วมมือของ ACMECS และนโยบายเมืองคู่มิตรนั้น ก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบ กล่าวคือ ด้านการเมือง การค้าระหว่างประเทศข้ามพรมแดนไปมายังให้เกิดปัญหาด้าน ความมั่นคง ได้แก่ การลักลอบค้ายาเสพติด แรงงานลักลอบเข้าเมือง โดยผิดกฎหมาย การโจรกรรมรถยนต์ และรถจักรยานยนต์ ปัญหาการปฏิบัติต่อชาวกัมพูชาที่ถูกจับกุม ด้านเศรษฐกิจ ถือเป็นคู่ค้าที่ส าคัญและเป็นผู้ ลงทุนรายใหญ่ในกัมพูชา การซื้อ ขาย แลกเปลี่ยนสินค้าระหว่างกัน มีวิธีที่ไม่ยุ่งยาก เน้นความสะดวกรวดเร็ว ซึ่งมีทั้งการค้าที่ถูกกฎหมาย (ผ่านด่านศุลกากร) และที่ผิดกฎหมาย (ลักลอบค้า) ด้านสังคม ผลการศึกษาแบ่ง ผลกระทบออกเป็น 2 ด้าน กล่าวคือ ผลกระทบด้านบวก การพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางด้านการค้าท าให้ชุมชน ระหว่าง 2 พื้นที่ไปมาหาสู่กันอย่างใกล้ชิด เกิดเป็นความสัมพันธ์อันดีในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ในด้านอื่นๆ ผลกระทบด้านลบ มีผลกระทบด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมมาถึงไทย ปัญหาเรื่องแรงงานต่างด้าว การก่ออาชญากรรม ปัญหาความเหลื่อมล้ าทางเศรษฐกิจ การลักลอบท าการค้าบริเวณชายแดนท าให้สินค้ามีราคาถูกกว่าสินค้า ราคาปกติในท้องตลาด และผู้ซื้อนิยมซื้อสินค้าแบบผิดกฎหมาย ชุมชนไม่สามารถปรับตัวได้อย่างเท่าทัน

This Research on “Trade Cooperation Thailand - Cambodia Case Study Trat - Koh Kong aimed to study the impact of trade cooperation and suggestions for the development of trade cooperation Thailand – Cambodia and a qualitative research study. The major findings identified Trade cooperation has been promoted under the cooperation of ACMECS and urban policy Matching Grants :- the politics of international trade across the border to revisit the issue of security including illegal drug trade, stick Labor, illegal immigration, illegal theft of cars and motorcycles and the problem treats a Cambodian arrest. The economy of considered as an important partner and a major investor in Cambodia, buy, sell, trade between each other. A hassle-free way Focus on convenience including trade legislation. (Through Customhouse) and illegal (illegal trade). The social of studies into the effects into two aspects: - the positive impacts of development cooperation, trade allows the community between two areas to come together, good relationship to build relationships on the other side in other hand negative impacts environmental impact to Thailand, illegal alien labour, crime, economic inequality. The Illegal border trade products are cheaper than the normal price in the market. Most buyers purchase products illegally and communities can adapt wisely.
