การปรับปรุงกระบวนการผลิตเพื่อเพิ่มผลผลิตยาสมุนไพรรักษาโรคสะเก็ดเงิน โดยประยุกต์ใช้เครื่องมือทางวิศวกรรมอุตสาหการ คือ แผนผังสาเหตุและผล การศึกษางาน และการจับเวลา เพื่อเพิ่มผลผลิต และลดปริมาณของเสีย ลดเวลาและปริมาณคนในการทำงาน จากการศึกษาพบว่าเวลาการทำงานของกระบวนการคั้นกากสมุนไพรก่อนปรับปรุง คือ 204.86 นาทีต่อถัง เมื่อวิเคราะห์ผลด้วยแผนผังสาเหตุและผลพบว่าปัญหาที่ทำให้กระบวนการคั้นกากสมุนไพรล่าช้า เกิดจากการขาดเครื่องมือช่วยในการทำงาน ดังนั้นจึงปรับปรุงกระบวนการคั้นกากสมุนไพรโดยใช้เครื่องคั้น พบว่าใช้เวลาเฉลี่ยในการทำงาน 115.85 นาทีต่อถัง ซึ่งลดระยะเวลาในการทำงานได้ถึงร้อยละ 43.45 และเพิ่มปริมาณผลผลิตจาก 714 ขวดต่อถัง เป็น 880 ขวดต่อถัง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 12.04 นอกจากนี้การใช้เครื่องคั้นยังช่วยลดจำนวนแรงงานในกระบวนการผลิตได้ 1 คน

Process improvement and productivity improvement in herbal medicine production by implement industrial engineering technique including cause and effect diagram, work study and time study to increase productivity, reduce waste, reduce time and reduce people in the production process. The preliminary data has been collected. The current processing time of herbal medicine production took 204.86 minutes per tank. The analysis of cause and effect diagram present that the problems of this study process were labor time consuming and lack of supporting equipment. Therefore, the process improvement by using a juicer the result showed that the processing time took only 115.85 minutes per tank which reduced the working time by 43.45% and increased the productivity from 714 bottles per drum to 880 bottles per drum, representing 12.04 percent.
